Region 1
VALLarie Erickson Region 1 Vice President

Vallarie Erickson and her husband Brian
My family has been involved with FMCA for many years. I became a member in 2011 when I purchased a class C Motorhome and have attended and volunteered for many Regional, RMMA and FMCA international rallies.
My husband Brian and I retired to Farmington, NM. In January of 2018 and purchased our second class A Diesel pusher in Gillette Wy at the FMCA international rally. We have enjoyed visiting many of the chapters of RMMA and made many new friends along with volunteering at region 1, RMMA and international rallies. We look forward to working with region 1 chapters to give them the support and tools they need to meet their goals.

COLORADO COLUMBINES
The Colorado Columbines Chapter of FMCA was formed on December 6, 1992 and currently has 33 members. Most of the members live on the Front Range of Colorado between Pueblo and Fort Collins, with one charter member still active in our chapter for the summer months who now resides in Texas. We gather for weekend campouts on the second weekend of each month (May-Sept) and then on the first weekend of October. Food is always plentiful at our campouts; however we do find time to socialize, play games, go on tours, make crafts, have bonfires, as well as relax. Usually there are 10-15 rigs in attendance and a good time is always had by all. We are a small chapter and are always on the lookout for “fun and friendly” folks to join us. Our yearly dues are only $21.00 per rig and our rally fees are $12.00 per person.

COWBOY AMBASSADORS
Enjoying traveling, loving the life style in a motor coach, meeting with our friends and learning and exploring the beautiful country we live in identifies the Cowboy Ambassadors. Our membership is not limited to Wyoming residents, our club requirements are few, and we are strong supporters of FMCA, generous volunteers in time and talents and make no bones about having fun. All of us work together to have two or three rallies a year, we utilize the talents of our members, we share information and on occasion we have a personal visit from Buffalo Bill Cody – how much more Wyoming can you get? We just celebrated our 20th anniversary. We celebrated with a rally in Thermopolis and honored original longtime members with cake, ice cream and had a fun gift exchange. Evenings were spent sharing stories of the last 20 years along with plans for the future. Our hopes are: Let the diesel and gas prices go down so we can keep enjoying what we like most, traveling in our motor coaches

CUATRO ESTADOS

FACEBOOK: CUATRO ESTADOS FMCA CHAPTER
Thank you for your interest in our FMCA Chapter. We have " The Spirit of Adventure" and enjoy exploring the world around us. " Cuatro Estados" translates to "Four States," and most of our monthly rallies are usually held somewhere in the "Four Corners" states of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah, and are usually about a week long. We have a good many full-timers too!
Most of us love exploring the back country and searching out great scenery, historical areas, and “off the grid” locations. Mostly via our tow vehicles (including some 4WD or AWD), but often via great hikes, and sometimes via water (kayaks) or bicycle. We have also held longer “caravan” trips through the “four states” region as well as other parts of the country, such as California and Texas. A few of us have spent most of the winter traveling together around Arizona & southern California, or summer traveling together for longer distance trips, such as Alaska or Newfoundland.

high plains drifters
The High Plains Drifters Chapter of FMCA is a group of friends always looking to meet new friends. The membership mostly comes from south eastern Wyoming, north eastern Colorado and the panhandle of Nebraska, but everyone is welcome. Rallies are held in parts of the area and meet the fourth weekend of the month, seven times a year, from April through October plus a luncheon meeting in early January. Rally activities are quite varied depending on the locality and have included attending concerts, plays and air shows. We have also toured historical sites, bronze and pewter studios, a birdseed factory and a large distribution center amongst other points of interest. Typically we gather on Friday for an afternoon of chin music, camaraderie and “catching up” followed by heavy snacks and games. The monthly business meeting is held Saturday morning with some activity in the afternoon and a catered dinner in the evening. Sunday morning consists of non-denominational devotions and a continental breakfast before we say our “goodbyes” and head home. However, the rallies very a great deal, depending on the available activities and hosts’ planning

SMOKEY BEAR
SMOKEY BEAR Smokey Bear Chapter encompasses southern New Mexico and western Texas. The original Smokey Bear was saved after a forest fire around Capitan, New Mexico. That area is covered by our chapter. Our chapter was formed in 1975, and we currently have about a 50 coach membership. Our area is blessed with very nice weather year ‘round so we plan monthly rallies to close-by mountains, lakes and/or deserts. We have about 15-25 coaches at each rally. The rallies usually last 3 days with good meals, sight seeing, visiting local attractions and playing games. We publish monthly newsletters, keeping all members informed of chapter happenings. We welcome prospective members as guests at any of our rallies and a rally schedule is available to any prospective members.
